About Kelsey
Kelsey’s passion for sport and performance psychology consulting stemmed from an innate desire to better understand how to support others in their athletic ambitions. Throughout her youth development, she had the privilege of participating in a variety of sports, which allowed her to gain a better understanding of the physical, psychological, and emotional needs of diverse athletic populations. Kelsey’s had the pleasure of providing services to athletes, teams, and coaches as a sport and performance psychology consultant since 2015. In her work, she honors the unique social, cultural, physical, and mental stressors that athletes face as compared to their non-athlete peers through a person-centered, strengths-based approach.
Along with her experience as a consultant, Kelsey is a scholar and researcher investigating female athlete resilience and psychological well-being, eating disorders/disordered eating in sport, and the psychology of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). Kelsey uses her skills as an academic to stay current on best practices when working with athletes. The integrative approach between consultant and scholar allows her to effectively address each athlete’s individual needs.
In addition to consulting and scholarly work, you will most certainly find Kelsey in the outdoors. As a native New Englander, Kelsey finds great pleasure in downhill skiing, hiking, and other endurance events. She’s completed numerous road and trail running races and currently, her training centers on triathlons. Kelsey honors the importance of rest and recovery through reading and laughing.
